For many of us, it is not easy to slow down mentally or physically. In our fast-paced lives, we aren't used to it. As a trained Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, I will guide you in this process to maximize the enjoyment and the health benefits..
Please dress comfortably and appropriately for walking, sitting on the ground and moving through nature. Consider dressing in layers and bringing one layer more than you would for a walk outside in similar weather.
Please bring water, and consider other comfort measures such as a hat, gloves, walking stick, and/or portable stool or camp chair.
Feel free to bring a small backpack for your things and a journal if so inclined.
Insects are super important beings on our planet and ones that fascinate us. That doesn't mean we want them too close to us, though, so I usually have Ranger Ready Picaridin available at Walks. Feel free to bring a repellent of your choosing to discourage ticks and mosquito bites. I also recommend a shower after being in nature.
There is usually a restroom or portable toilet at the trailhead where we will be.
